The most photos ever of a coin worth .02 cents.
As for how many copper cents have been found, I am not sure of the EXACT number but it's something like
    Philly 20
    Denver 1
    San Fran 5

What?? I heard there were only about 40 that were struck on copper. I'm running out of chances...there's not many left.

Imperfections like this are often encountered in the plating process, just another indication that you are dealing with a plated coin.

Reading this reminded me of the old joke about the guy who took a trip to Europe and while shopping in some second-hand shops found and bought a picture that was obviously painted over (recalling that people tried to hide old masters paintings during WWII by painting over them). Arriving back in America he took the picture to an art restorer and asked to have the surface painting removed. After a few weeks he called the shop to check on the picture and the restorer told him he had removed three layers and was down to a photograph of Mussolini, should he stop?

That one is just one of the thousands of steel cents that has been copper coated to look like a 1943 copper. The coins are cleaned and stripped first before the copper plating and the original zinc plating is lost in the process.

So you're saying it was coated by Billy in a garage? That's my metaphor

If that's the case I might have to take the gamble so what and I think the thread I posted should also take the Gamble. For what hasn't been heard or seen yet there's always a first but until then there's always going to be deception until a first.

Of course. Other than that the IRS is only one that can tell you what to do with your money without option.:greedy:
