1939 B nickel

In my collection of nickel I came across this one. The B is on the Revese above the dome.
It is Banned in the coin. There is not cracks on the Obverse side.
I Know there is no answer for this one

yes but How? no cracks in front. no burn marks. Nice

 

Believe me, it didn't get there naturally. An obvious post mint stamp or engraving.

What or How do you counterstamp. I am Very new at all the terms .

Very simply you get a punch with a reverse image of the letters (or image) you want to stamp into coins. Then you strike the stamp (e.g., with a hammer) driving the stamp into the coin.

The Chinese counterstamped US Trade Dollars as an indication of the silver content. In the middle of the 19th century many merchants counterstamped coins with their advertising. Go to eBay and search US coins for "counterstamp". There are usually a few listed.

So, in other words, Someone want to be known for "the big "B" on the 1939 Nickel. To bad we don't know.
