GEC has another MS67 1921 Peace Dollar in ebay. libertycoinguy just sold one for $696.90 to some unsuspecting collector. It looked only AU condition thru the hazy photo of the slabbed coin. Check out # 190184971432 and
    judge for yourself.

    MS-67???!!! No way!

There is a huge scrape in the field in front of Liberty's face as well as one across her crown. It looks like a nice coin but it is not a 67. It's hard to see much with such a small photo (obverse only) but that is probably by design. I would have trouble giving it anything above a 64 myself, maybe less if I got a better look at it.

I thought eBay's new rules forbit a seller from referring to a grade unless the coin has been graded by one of the Big Four. How does this guy get to call his coin an MS-67 when it is in a Self Slab?

He's such a big seller. Ebay likes the income.

I believe that Ebay's new rules for coins not certified by the "big four" only forbid the grade from being included in the listing title.

    Stay away--stay away

Or bid only to VF price at most...
I've come to the conclusion that any auction on e-bay listed as private means the seller does not want any interference from people like us--who might warn off their bidders!
Note that he has a whole bunch of this gec junk for sale.

I felt compelled to email the seller but I was polite. Here it is.

"Could you possibly provide bigger pictures of your coins so I can determine just how much GEC over graded them?

    Thanks,

    clembo"
