I picked this up not too long ago for not much over melt. This 20 Balboa is one of my favorite Panama coins.

Just picked up a few new Panamanian coins at the LCS today. Coincidence? Maybe:

All these pics are mouth watering! I like their coins especially because their compositions are about the same as ours through out 1900s, not sure about now though. Very nice looking coins, even the clad halves are beauts

Just a follow up. I'm the old poot that started this thread. I finally bought my first 3 Balboas off of ebay. I am going to add more sizes and dates of the Balboas as time and money allows. On this particular coin type, I am just planning on buying random coins focused on price and whether I like the looks of the coin pics or not. Just going to be searching for deals mostly. This first 3 1/10 Balboas I purchased cost an average of $6.00 each, including shipping. Heck, I don't know if I did good or not as far as the price goes. I was comfortable with it though. Thanks for all of your pics and the input on this series folks. Happy collecting. Mike in Missouri

I love pretty much all the pre-1947 Panama coinage I have been collecting just about all that I find lately...here’s links to a good chunk of them, just sent a handful in to NGC..1947 balboa, 1933 toned 1/2, 1947 toned 1/10 and 1904 2.5c (hard to say, appeared very high grade but they’re so small it’ll be interesting to see what they say)...here’s my imgur links...
