2017 P Lincoln Error

  1. IMG_20180602_183805.jpg When I pulled this coin from my pocket change . It look to me interesting this coin.
    So , what's it guys ?

    Use the "upload a file" button to add the picture. Then insert as a full image. Not a thumbnail.

    upload a file
    choose a file
    navigate to the folder where you have the picture
    Click open
    click "full image"

    Click post reply

    Nope. That's just a penny that got scraped up against something. Concrete maybe?

    Sorry but I'm seeing scratches. It's always difficult to tell from pics but since you have the coin in hand, look closely at the scratches. They look incused, not raised. Also look at the scratch on the back of Lincoln's head. From your pics, it looks like there is some raised metal displacement. This cannot occur during the minting process, only from PMD. Both of these are key attributes in determining that your seeing scratches

    (BTW, your pics are OK considering the trouble you had loading them).

    Just because a coin has luster doesn't mean it can't have scratches. I see several scratches, almost like a parking lot coin. Sorry, not an error.

    Looks like slight gravel scrapes. Top of hair is for sure scraped

  20. I know this scratches , but don't you see there is missing facial hair and jacket doesn't have folding !!!
