I had Subway for lunch, too!

But I paid with a gift card. :(

I had Chick fil a, subway has lost 25% of its profit rate since 2012. To be honest I haven't eaten at subway in almost a year.

I travel with my job and am at, or in, one spot for months at a time. If there is a Subway near, I'll eat there at least twice a week.

Nice looking bill and a low number. Bonus with the short run. It pays to check paper money as well as change.

I eat at Subway often also. They're relatively healthy for fast food, there are a bunch near me, and I get the coupon printed on the receipt.

I can still often get the Kroger 4X fuel-points promotion for gift cards, so I generally make sure to get one or two Subway cards. I don't eat there very often, but they're a reliable meal when I'm traveling, and the food sticks better than burgers or deep-fried whatever.

I had a friend who liked to call them "SubStandard".

My college town also had a "Sub Station II" franchise (a very small chain), and there's a "SubConscious" the next town over.

There are lots of other puns you can pick starting with "Sub", but most of them aren't very flattering...

My local Subway is great and I get 15% off my order every time I eat there.

More than five years for me. I'll think about visiting Subway then talk myself out of it by thinking of the prices. It doesn't surprise me to read that the chain is declining in profitability.

Great bill in the OP's change, though.

About a month ago i went into Subway near my house and one employee came out of the restroom and walked up to wash station splashed her hands (not wash). I walked out of store without ordering... May have washed hands in restroom or not, but that made me ill.

There was a case back in 2013 or so where a dead rat was found in someones sandwich, it was found that it came with the lettuce. I'd post pictures but they are pretty gross, so I'll just leave this article link.

My first job was working at Subway back in high school. I used to come up with all sorts of different sandwich combinations. Good times lol:yuck:

Of course I had the privilege of looking at all the change for silver and varieties. And the cash register for stars and what not. It was at Subway where i found a 1902 holed barber dime and my first web note among numerous star notes and silver coins.

Of course your bill has nothing to do with Subway and was just a circulated bill but the coolest low number star I've seen in a long time. Congratulations. A keeper for sure.

I never worked for Subway but, when I was in college back in the '60s, one of the many part-time jobs I had was working for a guy that had a route of gumball, candy, etc machines scattered throughout Cleveland, Ohio. My job, once a week, was to go to each location, refill the machines, and empty the coins. We didn't count the coins - we weighed them, and gave the store owner his share. The BEST part of this story is that my boss would let me take the coins home and go through them ... mostly pennies, nickles and dimes ... and repay him for the ones I kept. It was a goldmine of old coins and tokens! I theorized that a lot of the coins in those machines were "borrowed" from a kid's dad or brother's coin collection. Indian Head cents, buffalo nickles, and mercury dimes by the hundreds made for a great collection --- until someone burglarized my house and took them all! Cest la vie!!!
