I found another one. Searched 1969 D halfs till my eyes bleed. If you did not see the last post regarding this error there is an unidentified clash or something between the eagles wings and legs. Here it is. 20180601_172800.jpg 20180601_172631.jpg 20180601_174149.jpg 20180601_174136.jpg this one seems to be a later die state. Some of the details from the original coin are gone. The extra rays
Are not there and the right side of the anomaly is much weaker. The rays below the motto are completely polished away. There are polish lines everywhere that are not on the original coin. Here is the original. 20180520_154230.jpg 20180520_155918.jpg now that i have the second example in hand i will be sending them to @mikediamond if you have a theory of what it is please comment.

I still think it would be a minor Reverse Design Variety.

I think the op is talking about the die gouge or die clash showing right between the eagle's leg and wing feathers on the left side of the reverse.

Look closely and you can see what looks like a needle coming out of the eagle's left leg. It's great when new collectors come on here and actually try to learn more about the hobby.

Normal reverse top. New variety below. 20180601_222453.jpg 20180520_155918.jpg
It's pretty big. Not sure what needle you see.
Big raised area above both legs.

That looks like part of the design, like the eagles lower thighs. It equal in size and on both sides.

Steve.e I noticed something on your coin I have seen before on other clad year halves. Don't know if it is pertinent to your bumps but look at the photo. Curious that it doesn't appear to be on your second find with the later die state.

I also looked at my collection and I have some really worn ones and some super ridiculously polished...every one of them shows those "rays". Definitely on to something....and Im as green as a leaf in this hobby and can see it.
