This coin I won at auction on eBay, I believe the seller is one of our fellow coin talkers. A great Fair auction for a very nice coin. This now resides in my Dansco 7070. I am very pleased with it. It's 1899 Barber Quarter counterpart will soon join it.
That's one of the better struck Jeffersons I've seen from this era. Most are weaker right off the press. Oh! Head slap. It's a proof...
Another proof... Too bad about the obverse scratch, but fortunately I am not a perfectionist. The orange sherbet coloring on the back and the subtle purple and blue on the front make it worth while.
Not new but newly back from Variety Slabbing Service....I must say Quick service. He received it May 24 and I picked it up at the post office today June 1st.
This is for my Dansco 7070, and 1838 reeded edge. The dark toning is awesome and iridescent and better than my pic shows. Obviously the fault is the scratch on the obverse, but I love the coin and it will suit my album until the right upgrade comes along.
I'm attempting to buy problem free coins for my 7070, however some coins are going to be pricey, even in lower grades.
This arrived today. First year of issue. It joins my 2006 Gold Buffalo proof, which I’ll give you another look at. Hope you enjoy!
