Hi all, I love finding money! These 2 items were thrown into the trash at one of the advertising companies at the commercial building I work for.. I already have the $2 Coin. The $10 Bill is a new addition to my collection -
At first I didn't know what I was looking at. I thought it was a food wrapper. I saw the guys face and then realized what it was. Searching for more I found the $2 coin
i wish someone would throw some money in the trash around my neck of the Woods, well i live in Vegas so people throw money away all the time, just not In the trash...LOL
Was throwing something out in the trash one time, (supermarket) and there was a pile of change in there. There was a Coin Star near it, so I figured someone dumped all the reject money in there. A couple of cents may have been damaged but the bulk of it, plenty of silver too was fine, I washed it all off and spent it. The damaged coins I have been redeeming at the end of the year (mutilated coins).
The $10 is redeemable. The coin is not. There is so much Canadian and Mexican coinage in the US as well as Euro and English coins that are not redeemable. Only currency.
Ha! The company that I found the 2 items is called DesignBridge. They are an advertising group that design packaging and labels for different companies. Looks like they were using props for a Canadian brand and threw them away. I also found a jar of Canadian maple syrup.
I wonder how often they throw money in the trash thinking it is part of the prop, some quality control management needed there. Jar of Maple syrup had to be worth several bucks in its self, I think I would be checking the trash once or twice a hour. Two months ago in the City where I retired from...they found a male body, shot twice and dead as they come..in the trash
I go to a food store that has a coin sorter, and asked what they do with the rejects. They told me that all rejects were placed in the trash. Now they save them for me.
