I understand there may not be anything special about this Penny, but I find it fascinating finding one, 100 years after being minted.
The 22 still eludes my capture (as well as the 32d, 09svdb, 55ddo., I could go on). Nice finding those coins at the century mark and still circulating, and looking relatively well.
Please when you put any coin in a 2x2 holder finish the jog with a pair of pliers and carefully crimp those metal thingies so they don't rip up your coin as you take them out of the box. They will rip the plastic paper that covers the coin.
I always think of how old my relatives were .. parents, grandparents, etc and what they were doing when I find a really old coin.
I remember the first box of pennies i got a few years back, it seemed every single roll i opened had atleast 2 wheats in it, sometimes up to 10. I must've struck a lucky box because i only seem to get recently minted boxes of pennies these days. Last one i got was allll 2017's. Seem to only find wheats in my pocket change these days. Nice find! Anything minted 1920 and before is always an exciting find for me as well!
