  1. 1977 Proof set with what appears to be a struck thru error. Is this a rare error???

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

Better cut back on the caffeine. That close up picture of the error in question is just a bit shaky. Looks like it was on a paint shaker when you snapped it. Might want to try that one again.

  5. Scanner does not pick up good picts. Look at "dollar" in half dollar. Part is missing and so is some stars.

Please take photos with a camera or phone - not a scanner.

  10. I have 3 cameras. A sony, kodak and fuji. All high MP and all with or without macro takes terrible picts of coins. Scanner is much better on coins not in plastic holders but bad when encased in plastic. anyone know why or have same problem. Hate to have to break holder to get better pict.

Maybe it is because you are trying to get too close?

Looks like it is probably a strike through, not a particularly rare error but unusual on a proof. Would have some value, but probably not enough to take your spouse out to dinner, unless you like McDonalds.
