Is this a Lamination on an 1865 cent?

    I'm not really good with these errors...I can never tell if it is an error or damage. Any thoughts on this 1865 IH cent?

    It's a Delaminated Lamination ;)

    It probably had a hanging piece and it broke off.

    Not that that's entirely how error coins are priced, but it's my go to for thinking about a coins value. You can always list it on ebay for $0.99 and see what it sells for.

    Somebody else already tried that, and that's how I got it. :D I paid $.99 since mine was a really rough cull and I wanted one that looked a little nicer.

    I'm thinking damage, note how the reverse is slightly bulged and flattened in the same area.
