This is the cleanest nickel I have ever found in a coin roll. And it has high relief on it, too. Why do you think it is in this type of condition?

Lots of nicks and wear. Looks like a normal worn 69S nickel.

I see the cameo and numbering and lettering without a ton of wear at all. Hmmmm I mean, I see the nicks..maybe my photo isn’t doing it justice lol
It looked extremely clean to me.

Big scratch on his neck, look along his cheek line, several in the hair, hair is worn, scratches under LIBERTY. That's just the ones that stick out to me on the obverse.

Yeah, attention to all detail is so important. Thanks for pointing those out. I simply wasn’t looking.

The 69S was struck with high relief. These are common out of a mint sets. As Furry stated it is in circulated condition AU. the difference maker would be if it had any steps. FS would be the best. Worth about face value.

Just like to point out anything in this condition found in pocket change or coin roll is a good find.

Nice nickel but worn, no steps visible on reverse.

It's a nickel. But if you're happy, that's worth more than a nickel.

It is unusual to find an older coin in really nice condition in change. However, you need to remember that the US Mint sold lots and lots of mint sets. Any collector who wants to add an Unc to their collection, only needs to buy one of these sets from a shop, show or eBay. A lot of times dealers will have individual coins from sets they broke up with common stuff in the late 60s and 70s selling for a buck or so. Therefore, there's no real market for coins like your nickel

Mint sets are also where the high grades come from. Many sets have been picked over but if you have patience, a little luck, and experience with high grade coins, you may find something.

As others have said, The good thing about finding nice looking coins in change is that they are a great (and cheap) addition to a collection

Now, I see and agree with all of the comments and will refrain from putting it into an airtight coin holder lol

And perhaps it really was cleaned of debris. Sometimes hard to tell human cleaning of circulated coins from just circulation wear.
