This bad. My dealer, just messing around had a common date bust quater that he busted out of an NGC slab. It was graded VF-30. He sent it into SGS to get graded...... Came back as MS-66 PL!!!! PROOF LIKE! Unbelieveable......... I didn't even know that they put PL designations on bust quarters!

LOL. That is ridiculous. I wonder how much it cost to have coins "graded" by SGS....?

    Beyond bad apparently

That is incredible even where SGS is involved!

For starters I give your dealer credit for risking a coin worth a few hundred bucks.

Then I consulted the PCGS price guide. Yeah, I know it tends to be high (why else would Abon have used it so much?).

So a "common" bust quarter in VF30 would be around $300 for ease of math. An MS66PL would list more in the $40,000 or higher range. Hmmm... value only increased 133 times in the proper holder.

So how much is your dealer asking for this beauty anyway - and did they whiz it for him?

    PATHETIC and CRIMINAL.

In that case I'd like to know what NGC grades it this time. Never know could be different - like maybe AU58.

I believe that MS-66 is the lowest grade that SGS has in their label machine/printer.

As a Doctor, SGS means sever glandular side effect. It is almost as bad as NGC. That is nomadic gaza citizens.

I am just amazed that sgs actually graded a coin that was not thier own. It must be thier lame attempt at appearing legitemate. Still doesn,t work for me.
I hope the dealer took pics.;)

I think it would be pretty funny if, in fact, it did come back with a substantially higher grade from NGC (if it were submitted while still in the SGS holder, that is). Sorta like suggestive grading, ha.

Thanks for the update Cody. Is he sending it back to SGS now? Might get MS67PL this time!

Wow, and it was worth so much more as an SGS.
As Clembo said: shoot for an MS67 PL!
