Lovely coin... as a complete newb idiot- to Greeks especially.. I do have a dumb question: are there any/many with the helmet pulled fully down? I am sure there are - but have not seen them posted .. they must look amazing... so please share..

Please let me clarify that the coin you posted is absolutely incredible and something I would only dream to own some day. I hope you are not offended by my question. I just have often wondered and not seen any. Thx for your understanding...

I would be driven crazy wondering what if anything was under the rough area behind Athena. My Leukas has a lion head. It was one of my first Greek coins. It was ex. Charles Wolfe who still ranks among my favorite dealers. He understood 'eye appeal' even on coins less than mint state. g41130b00008lg.JPG

nice coin, but there suppose to be a mark behind Athena, was it removed ? leaving a rough area.

They used two pegasi on the diobols and for good measure indicated the denomination on the reverse with Δ-I-O.

Oops! You are absolutely correct. I knew that, but must have gotten carried away by the moment, admiring the great coin photos.
