    Oh yeah, I speak Fortin!

This was an easy one. The denticle ruler is 0C, and 107 is a match.

I could be wrong however, you'll have to double check.

You did it...kinda...mostly...you had the key.

F-107 is Obv7 with RevG-DDR#4 and DR OC, but DDR#4 doesn't show doubling on the lower leaves.

F-123 is the only other DR OC with a DDR, and - wouldn't you know it - Obverse 7. And it looks like RevE-DDR#2 is a pretty good match.

Thank you for lighting the way.

Is Fortin a variety Label? Such as wexler? And if it is, does it have a primary coin it is regarding?

Google is your friend. When you run into something you don’t know on here, google it. I have a book on Seated Dime varieties by Brian Greer that I’ve used in the past but, like you, I had no idea who/what Fortin was. 2 minutes on google gave me the answer.

Now I could have asked the same question as you. “Is Fortin some sort of variety reference?

Or with a minimal amount of homework, I can ask:
“I used to use Greer’s Seated Dime book, is that still a decent reference or is Fortin the new standard for seated dimes”?

    Just a little advice

BTW: Seated Dime guys. Any quick thoughts on Greer vs Fortin for someone who doesn't specialize in Seated material?

Fortin is the most recent reference and is probably more complete.
