hey everybody- I found this crh’ing today and i was completely shocked! I checked on youtube and a guy there said it’s a super coin. Someone at the mint accidentally dropped jewels and some were put on the coin when it got stamped. I already know it is rare and valuable so you don’t need to lie to me. I wont sell it for less than it’s worth. Let me know what you think the value is. I am already trying to figure out where I am going to retire. Thanks!
Of course, I've heard it's a rare mint error worth thousands. Yours must be the finest known! Here's how you should list it on eBay: RARE ERROR PENNY - LINCOLN CENT ERROR - FINEST KNOWN - JEWEL STRIKETHROUGH ERROR - 1964 LINCOLN CENT PENNY - JUST $995,000 WITH FREE S/H!!! - L@@@@@@@@@@K!!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget the free shipping and handling - that's very important.
That would go along with my heavy duty zircon encrusted tweezers and my tiny horse on my dental floss ranch.
The "gems" are faceted ( have angles and cut lines) and would have been shattered under the pressure. That is why the maker drilled holes to hold them. Since copper is similar to silver and gold in hardness , some amateur beginners use copper to make tubular holders for real gems. the gems are extremely small and like the size gems they use in jewelry to surround the larger , better stones. I do find it interesting and I have many spare cents around to play. Thanks Jim
Search as many boxes as I do and maybe one day you can get lucky too I've seen a lot of stuff in my searches but never one like this. The things people do...lol
