Not sure what the joke is. Is it incorrectly labeled? Yes, sloppy, but it is a nice way to preserve a coin. I know the ancient crowd does not like slabs though. You can buy this style slab on ebay to preserve coins yourself instead of sending them in for grading. I've done a few Daniel Carrs this way since ngc and pcgs won't grade them. Of course I just noticed they bought a holder that is the wrong size, so put some foam or something in it as well, lol.

You were talking about jokes...? Lol. I have sent a few to them. But their holders are UGLY. And no edgeviews. And they cost more than these.

Hey, if the University of Central Florida can proclaim themselves NCAA Football National Champions, I say this guy can slab and grade his own coins. And why so timid? Make it a 5/5 gem mint uncirculated fleur de coin. No guts, no glory.

I've had them return fakes in plastic flips, not holders. Not sure where you got that idea from. And I'm not sure what you meant by "so you buy coin or the holder?". I have no problem someone buying some of these holders to put their collection in. It doesn't appear he is trying to be a "self slabber" that over grades junk to resell. It's just a way to display a coin.

So they made a modern Peace dollar but listed the fake year as a year that was never minted? Was it a 2017 release for 100 year anniversary?

    Looks nice though.

I see two major offences here. The photography was terrible and several people with no interest in the subject decided to make a joke out of the coin which is as labeled (assuming the faults are largely in the photography). I am one of those ancient collectors with no interest in slabs but this is not a slab unless someone has glued it shut. Many people house coins in plastic holders. Unless you are setting up a business in competition with NGC using pen and ink labels, I see nothing wrong with that. This appears to be a coin of Caligula made in the period listed with a reasonable chance of being called VF by many sellers. $2.50 each plus $3.50 postage is a bit steep but hardly extraordinary when it comes to pricing as traffic will bear. What made this worth posting?
