1982 d copper

    The only possible transitional for 1982 would be the Denver small date. It was a composition that the mint didn't intend to make happen. One or two examples have come to market in the last couple years.

    What "penny" are you referring to?

    There's nothing wrong with checking your change or searching rolls as long as one sets their expectations in reality. If something you enjoy doing, do it for that alone and let any good finds (if it happens) be gravy.
