Hi this coin has not been in circulation, just wondering what pcgs would grade this at.Is it Ms 60 something or just BU.If I had it slabbed is it just a small silver coin not worth much or worth pretty Pennie.Any thoughts appreciated thanks
They grade BU when coin submitted does not meet a certain grade. For individual grading, they'll grade MS 60-61-62-63-64....no "BU"
BU = MS63 Choice BU = MS64 GEM = MS65 I don't know these coins but looks nice, might be 65/66 if not cleaned.
I haven't cleaned it and doesn't look cleaned to me,but new to the coin thing so not to sure.Ms 65 or 66 oh that sounds like I'm a rich man now
Oh that's not so good.... It's tricky to buy coins on line .I did think that was a high grade.but hard to tell. Thanks for responding Gember
Try posting in US Coins forum, not What's It Worth. More experts there who can help you. And take better pics, perpendicular not angled.
Rather than asking individuals who may have diverse collecting backgrounds without ever owning a "gem" 1941-D Mercury dime, but still have an opinion, please view the following to ascertain relative true value: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NGC-1941-D...410916&hash=item3b0bb253f8:g:2EYAAOSwnHda6oZA I have several MS grade 1941-D coins through MS67. Dependent upon the TPG, and the grader, I believe your coin may grade "gem" condition (i.e. MS65). The "linked" coin is in relatively true FB condition, which from your images I don't believe yours would grade. My experience indicates your expense for a "top tier TPG" grade would be greater than this coins asking price, and your coins value. You can locate several others on the internet slabbed/graded "gem" condition for less than $50, which generally may be less than the cost to NGC or PCGS grade your single coin. I trust this post will answer your query! JMHO
