Has anyone seen this before?

I bought this from an older guy recently.
He bought it in the 80s
I think the certificate is from a precursor to ANACS and a legit grade.
I was just curious if anyone ran across these coins with matching box and certificate before.
    Thanks

Hmm. A PNG photocertificate, huh? Nope, can't say as I've ever seen one. That's pretty neat.

I had a few, but they were harder to sell in that time as many horrendous "grading companies" were also issuing similar, but junk. I still have some of the early ANAC certs that has photos of both sides and the coin in a poly packet in a flip stapled to the card.

Yes I have. There are at least three different varieties of these certificates, all of which seem to be very scarce. They aren't precursor to ANACS though. They date after the startup of ANACS. I haven't made comparisons and I believe this is the third and last version. The other two are much larger certificates on legal size paper 8.5 x 14. Two of the varieties were pictured in the slab book, the third when I just ran into for the first time at the Michigan state show last year.

    Are these graded accurately?

I have no idea, I never bothered to look at the grades. They weren't important to me.

I have one similar from the IGA or Independent Grading Associates. It’s a cool and unique holder to me. Sure is aggravating trying to get that big poly envelope to fit any of my storage though.
