Not disagreeing that the auction is legit. I am sure it may very well be. Just wanted to point out that the listing criteria wasn't signs of deception. I am sure its a great set of coins that will fill many holes. Merry Christmas. This little guy need a Santa hat.
I don't see a rare coin in the bunch..Looks like a lot of common coins. Does he have atleast one rare coin? I just emailed him, and asked him if he could tell me what his 2 or 3 rarest coins are.
two rip offs are going on here. Littleton already ripped someone off by selling them all this common date garbage, and the person who is going to win this auction and realize that it is mostly pocket change.
Good chance of that. Seeing that you're in South Bend. Would you happen to know of Dave Brody by chance?
I seriously hope this guy was only trying to find out what his collection is really worth and is not going to sell it. You have to admit one thing, had the guy compiled this collection solely from circulation (hitting the banks, getting brand new rolls, etc....), it would be an IMPRESSIVE collection. The ONLY thing that makes this collection disappointing is the fact the coins were bought from Littleton at unrealistic prices. If the seller keeps the collection, it's still something to be proud of. I only hope that going forward, the seller starts getting their coins from the BANK.
The only item identifiable in his 2-way feedback (as someone mentioned, all as a buyer) is computer software. All of his other transactions were too long ago to ID the merchandise, but the word "coin" doesn't appear in the first several dozen feedback comments!
I liked the part where the seller goes "no way I can tell you what it'd cost to ship' but in the bottom of the ad he has $55 for shipping .... guess he figured out 'something'.. maybe that's for packing boxes for when you come pick up your winnings??
