I'm seriously considering removing and keeping the coins. Board was made in 1996 and I know how plastic back then was... Comment, concerns? PS was this worth $25? Sorry ofr the bad photo but here is the list and photo below 1943 Steel 1965 1c 1942 Nickel (No reverse Mintmark) 1995 nickel 1957 Dime Toned 1995 Dime 1776-1976 Quarter 1951 Quarter 1926 Standing liberty quarter 1907 Barber Quarter 1944 Mercury 1911 Barber Dime Toned 1916 Buffolo 1902 V Kickel 1902 Indian 1942 Copper Wheat
Without really being able to see the coins you have, I would say that I "may" have spent $25 just for funsies if I was in a good mood. Though I think the whole thing is a bit tacky looking lol. You have something like $12 in silver melt coins there So you aren't too far in the hole.
You have about $12-13 worth of silver at melt, so if the picture of the eagle and the other coins give you about $12.50 worth of pleasure, it was worth it! As for removing the coins, my guess is they were cleaned or polished for the display, and seeing how they've been doing ok so far, I'd probably just leave them and hang it on the wall.
I wouldn't use redbook to estimate values. I would assume (and yes, I know what happens when you assume) they are all details coins (see my earlier statement), so redbook values wouldn't apply.
I'd say a company made it, but you have it in hand to see the 'workmanship'. Lots of cheesy pieces of framed 'artwork', or clocks, or light-up framed thingies were made in the '70's and '80's.
