Yeah. Except as a joke, can't imagine someone going to a dealer's table at a show and saying they'd like to see his bison nickels. Sometimes common usage beats science and grammar ... ain't it so?

I spent a lot of time making this diagram about ten years ago. I haven't seen anything that looks like the red thing on a US coin.
