Gorgeous!! I'm so envious that you can pick up stuff like this. Someday I will be able to be a competitor. LOL
Very nice coins. A local dealer has one with an earlier date. I think it may be 1805 with Carolus 1111. Columbia. It is NGC graded at EF-45. He wants $1,550. Is that too much for an EF-45?
Was it toned? I don't know what the normal price is for untoned ones, honestly. I know I paid a fair bit more for this one, but the toning added value (for me at least).
...and the WINGS sticker added value of course PS: Oh wait, that's the other coin. I would have graded the 1819 lower than the 1820 but what do I know.
No it isn't toned to any degree. I don't see this kind of coin very often. The guy's prices on his other coins seem to be reasonable.
Thanks jwitten. It is really tempting. And I don't know when I'll see another one. I don't shop eBay.
Oh, and those prices were only for graded ones. With coins I do not know much about, I prefer graded. The $1,500 one was vf30 I think. Offer $1,475 and see if they will meet at $1,500 and I would say you would have a decent deal.
