I spent Thursday through Saturday at CSNS parked at James Sego's very busy table shooting pictures of some "Eclectic Numismatic Treasures," some of which I'll post here from time to time, plus a bunch of other coins. Attendance seemed a bit light, but I don't know that lack of show grading was the driving reason behind this. Caught up with several people I see only at shows, including CRO, Dave Wnuck, John Dannreuther, David McCarthy, , some VAM guys that showed up Saturday, and others I apologize for not mentioning. Stack's-Bowers had some great stuff on display from upcoming sales, including a 1913 nickel, which was not as cool as the Una and the Lion £5 they had as part of a British 1839 proof set. I took a big plunge in Wednesday night's auction and bought this 1795 flowing hair dollar I behaved and put the checkbook away Thursday and Friday, only to spot this broadstruck 21-S Morgan that I had to bring home Keeping in the spirit of the fire alarm that went off at CSNS a couple years ago, causing everyone to look around and decide, "yeah, um, no fire, so not going outside," today we were treated to the serenade of a Brinks truck siren in the hall for several minutes before they opened the overhead door and drove it outside. Finally, in case anyone was at the show late today and saw someone standing on a chair taking pictures info a case, that was me.
Sounds like you had a great time and both coins are worth whatever you paid for them. Two great additions to your collection. Thanks for sharing.
