1983 Red Tint Penny

    Found this in coin roll hunting. Red tint and DD on some of the lettering. The T in states is fat. Comments please.

    I see a slightly toned cent with no signs of doubling.

    I think the Fat T in states ( and the first S) may/could be from a Debris Filled Die.
    The coloring/toning is most likely caused by contact with come chemical on someone hands. Coins usualy have to be out of circulation (like yours) for natural toning to occur. It can be done with heat also.
