I’ve also seen different colored sharpie marks and with certain spacing around the rim of halves here on the west coast...Unfortunately, this is a common way to deface otherwise collectible, non-silver halves.

Nothing to show just yet; I’m still sorting through all these coins. Don’t forget to treat your tellers well. Thanks to my wife, they told me they actually look forward to the next time I come in with all those cents!

Was told by my teller today that they could no longer order half dollars for me. :vomit: Orders from the area manager. I have done all my banking with them for the last 14 years. :banghead:

I'm trying to understand the point. Is it to see how long it takes for them to return to your search pattern? Or so if you open a roll you know you've already seen a coin? What's the purpose because that box I showed had four-40%s in it and a box not markered had zero.

Try a different branch and if necessary open a new account at a different bank. Don't stop. Last February my credit union tried to start charging 10% fee to deposit coins through the coinstar, I pushed the issue and they don't charge me any longer. I also order from 3 PNC banks but one on the way home from work says the manager won't let him. So keep trying, look for other ways until all banks stop letting us hunt and dump.

I understand your frustration, just remember it’s all about money for them. The moment they realize you’re costing them, they’ll stop you. It’s frustrating, but understandable. Unless you’ve got 7 figures in your account, you’re likely not going to sway them with how long you’ve been with them. Best bet is to say thanks and keep searching elsewhere. My best hits have been customer wrapped rolls.

I figure it is a sign that it's time to diversify.

Bought some halves today, $120 CWRs & $19.50 loose. Loose were skunks. CWRs had check marks on them so I figured searched, right? Well, not searched very well.

Been dry lately. Accountant at my job said she had "30 dollars worth of stuff for me", none of which were coins.
    5 common 2 dollar bills
    1 1995 20 dollar bill.
All will be spent, but its definitely good to have more eyes!

Found this interesting 1994 German Pennig. Interested in researching this coin because I may be traveling through Germany in about a month or two. I’m guessing the G is the Mint mark? Yes, the Mintmark G means it's from the Karlsruhe Mint in the state of Baden-Württemburg, the state I'm currently living in. You can actually still exchange these at the Federal Banks in Germany. Unfortunately, you would need two in order to get one euro cent from it. If you PM me, I might be able to meet you while you're traveling through Germany, if you are interested.

The proof was marked? Someone had already searched them, AND THEY PUT THE PROOF BACK???

Proofs really aren’t worth that much, especially when they are impaired. I’ve tossed many a proof back into the wild.

    +1

I just read previous 31 pages. Another user has posted the same coin a few weeks apart - once loose, then in a roll as an 'ender'. Oops! I think I saw 1 other re-posted coin; not certain of that 1 like the first.

Not against the rules, but I think you put jinx / karma on yourself when you do that...

Ran through the bank just a bit ago to deposit my CRH cash for Monday and get my son some quarters. Asked if they had any halves and the teller said he thought so. Brought out 2 rolls. I told him I would absolutely take them. A bit disappointed with the labeling...the one labeled 67-68 actually had 4 69d's with the 67 and 68s :p The one labeled 64 is solid 64P Kennedy. 10.2oz for the day - which is my monthly goal.
