Two, maybe three weeks ago I picked up a bank box of cents to search. This is what happened. New teller, Allison, maybe half my age waits on me. First, took her 20 minutes to get into the small safe at the tellers window area. Finally she comes to me with the box, complaining how heavy it is. Next..."Do you have a business?" Me-"No, I'm a collector and I look for error coins". She asks what I mean and I explain. She "Boy, you are weird". Me-"No, you simply have no manners". Kids today. I got the dirtiest look as I walked away looking backwards. What would you have done/said?

CoinCorgi Tell your dog I said hi!

I don't volunteer info. I'd have said "No." in response to her "Do you have a business?" question. Volunteering info just leads to more small talk and misunderstandings, etc...in other words...more human interaction.

I would of said they are heavy would you mind carry it to the car for me I'm old and your bank says customer service, and of course I would have made a joke to lighten up the Situation.

We have bank tellers like that here in my town and I always make jokes with them and we are in a small town 3500 people. Lol

Think of it this way, Tommy. She could have been a YouTube watcher and refused to give you any before SHE went through them and reported the road rash here.

You know better, Tommy. The snowflake generation firmly believes it perfectly kosher to say whatever they want to you, but there's hell to pay if you respond with even the most innocuous nothing. To make things even more ridiculous, god forbid if they simply assume that you may think the "wrong way"...

"Yes, I'm a writer working on a book about clueless millennials."

Anybody else see the in-plane photos from the Southwest flight the other day? Millennial after millennial doing two things - taking selfies, and having the oxygen mask over ONLY their mouths, and not their noses. "Mouth breathers", I'm pretty sure.

Yeah.....I actually laugh when people say we are an amazing generation...you know who says that? Older people who don't realize that kids are dumber than most realize. #donteattidepodsforbreakfast

That's pretty much what living in Michigan is like, but it's not just the snowflake generation, it's most people in general.

Just tell her you run a vending machine business. She'll be more inclined to help you in a timely and professional manner if she thinks you are a businessman and not just some person who plays with pennies.

Here's an idea: next time you're in that bank, bring a boom box with "Back That Thang Up" blaring on it.

Funny stuff you all. One thing is certain, no candy for her like I give to Liz at the same bank.
