PMD - Post Mint Damage

Damaged with some tool.
Not a Mint Error

 

I figured. I was hoping not but thought more thank likely it was damage. Thank you

As a rule of thumb. When you can see metal raised above the surface of a coin, or pushed over the top of any Designs on the coin, it shows that the damage was done after it was Stamped.

 

It is possible that the damage was done at the mint after stamping but before leaving the mint. If this is the case then it is a mint error and not PMD. Could we have suggestions for identifying this condition? Perhaps IMEAS. "In Mint Error After Stamping"

I'm certain there are better identifying creations out there. Suggestions are welcome. Dose the mint have a name for this ERROR?

 

It looks like Wolverine may have gotten his hands on this before it/after it left the mint!

 

The correct term would be psd , or post strike damage. Anything that's done after the coin is made will be damage.

 

Idk I just couldn’t think of anything beside Wolverine of course that would make these kind of marks

 

Abe likely got struck with a high velocity spinning blade, likely from a heavy-duty riding lawn mower
