    Based on the pics you provided I would have to say DDD. IMO

    Someone once said that the doubling goes towards the rim.

    I see some small amount of concern on the left side of the date and the mm. Since it appears that is is lit from both left and right, I would think it is machine doubling or minor die deterioration. But on SS, you never know what will get put into some web guides as DDO. But it isn't IMO. Jim

    "SS" = "Single Squeeze".

    Just in case the OP is unfamiliar. :)

    It is slightly doubled die, but not all of it. How about this 1958 cent I just found? Would this be better doubling?

    Do you understand what a doubled die is? It's an honest and sincerely asked question.

    As for the 58, I am sorry but I see nothing of consequence, nor can I make the photo any larger without losing detail.

    Isn’t it when the die hits the planchet twice?

    No, not even close. That's something altogether different, but I do very much appreciate that you took the question as intended.

    Instead of me trying to explain, (if memory serves me) the link below will do a much better job. Check it out and if you've any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. :)
