1938 D Jefferson Nickel wasn’t in a roll but found at a gas station

    Cool find! That is considered one of the key dates of Jefferson nickels.

    I was very surprised it was a 38 when I picked it up and looked at the date my grandma loves nickels and she had a lot of 39’s but no 38. I hear they are hard to find. What do you think of the condition?

    Yes, it is a pretty nice coin - maybe more of an album filler. Average circulated condition - looks cleaned.
    It still is a tougher date though, so I wouldn’t spend it if it were me.

    Doesn't appear cleaned to me. Looks like circulation scratches. VF or VF Details.
