Do us all a favor and go pick up Mr. Waggers on your way to the knitting class. You can use this quarter and his penny to pay part of your cab fare!

    25 cents.
I see some clown on You Tube with a microscope proclaiming he is finding new varieties of doubling on every single new dime and quarter that comes out.
    1. It's possible that of all these hundreds of doubled dies he has discovered 1 might turn out to be a minor variety.
    2. Most of them are probably machine doubling or die deterioration.
    3. If ALL of the coins show doubling, it's not rare or worth anything.
    4. He is a charlatan who professes to know more than he does and spreads false information to viewers.
I'm not saying that you have seen these videos, but people do and they all come in here with face value damaged modern coins thinking they are rich.
Modern coins have been overproduced in the trillions. Very few are worth more than face value. You want old, rare, well conditioned coins.

If you like this coin, it doesn't cost anything to save it in a 2x2 coin flip.

If you think its an error, send it to PCGS or NGC then Heritage.

wxcoin Getting no respect since I was a baby

As others have said, I see nothing other than a well circulated, damaged coin. The things you point out I don't see either.

Those that are have spoken, and yet you continue to argue.

My suggestion - Spend the $149, become a member of PCGS, send the coin in, and then have them send it to Heritage for you to put in one of their upcoming auctions. You'll be able to retire by Thanksgiving!

    Sweet...!

I think it's more of a suggestion to spend the money and learn a hard lesson.

Oh, this is fun, & since it's storming outside, I'll take a "crack" at it!

Sean, yes, I actually saw an identical quarter slabbed, named nicknamed the "Neverglades". It had "D" MM on the reverse, in the foliage under the herons left wing no less, just like yours does (I guess you missed it). And Amerika was also spelled incorrectly & backwards on the obverse.

It was graded AU58 (since it was found in circulation by a CRH) in a pcgs (lower case) slab & sold through Heritage (if you search for it on their site they will deny it) for $61,500 (plus auction fees) since it was a 1 POP. Unfortunately, yours is too damaged to grade & lets face it, yours is one butt ugly coin (may I call it a coin? not sure!).

Sean seriously, thanks for joining CT just today & providing us with instant comic relief. It's nice to have a sacrificial thread to keep all the jokes, snarky comments & sarcasm away from (I wish) the more serious threads (You know, I never see stuff like this on the Ancients forum! Wonder why?).

Oh & btw, Mike Drop, go drink a warm glass of "shut the hell up" until you figure out how this works! (Boy, this storm is really starting to hiss me off!!!!!)
