When is this guy's crap going to finally be viewed as the spam it is? Larry is right in that he's here for no other purpose than to annoy the membership, and he's repeatedly broken rule #4 (excerpt below) without even trying to add anything remotely useful or beneficial to the forum. You're the boss, but for the life of me I cannot understand why this nonsense is permitted. "However, it is only necessary to ask your question or make your comment ONCE ! Please do not make multiple posts or threads on the same subject, even if they are in different areas or forum sections."
You are right. I used special lighting effects. Otherwise, how could you tell this was a fake picture of a doubled-die?
Don't feel bad. You're not the first, and won't be the last. See my avatar. I'm a Dead-Eye Master who is Guardian of The Farce.
Do you think other people on this site are capable to distiguish a real from a fake doubled die induced by special lighting effects as you were able to discern right off the bat?
Many, if not most, are fully capable of it. I can't STOP seeing the effects that lighting does. I couldn't if I tried to. It's why I'm constantly griping about coin photographs and how insufficient they are. Ask anyone. It makes me an oddball here - a site that is pretty much "dedicated" to the creation of "coin porn".
I am in the opinion that if you are gonna photo something, do your best to give a true impression of the coin. If it has flaws show them. I am not seeing your point @Mr. Waggers
All you guys are good I must admit. But only one was that capable, incredibly, to see the doubled-die on my 1969-S LMC wasn't real, but created by an optical illusion appearing only with the means of lighting special effects.
But you couldn't see that the doubled die on my coin was created by the special effects of light as your collaborator was.
This is one of the most* asinine statements yet, and considering the source is saying a lot. Now that you've gotten your jollies off, perhaps you will either grow up or kindly go away? *edit
The thang is guys: the state-of the-art lighting system I used to recreate the 1969-S doubled die which you immediately saw included a lampshade, a light bulb and electricity running in my walls.
