    Thanks, Col D-son, for agreeing that the Ptolomies were all Egyptian. Their Greek backgrounds, historically and culturally, would have weighed heavily. I've got a (partly) Scandinavian background, but have lived in the UK for most of my years - considerably less than 300 ! So, in some respects, I consider myself British.- But I had my knuckles wrapped for forgetting to mention Caesarion. Sure, though, he wasn't a real power in Egypt, more nominally, and nothing like his dominant mother. In fact, Caesarion was, perhaps, very much, a Roman glove-puppet ?
