Anyone want to guess the TPG grade of this new add?

    My grade? VF details, environmental damage

    TPG grade? Who knows?

    Looks like an NGC holder so I would say XF. While my grade would be VF details. Some of these really take wild swings from the tpgs.

    I agree with your assessment Larry, but you know the TPG saw it higher than that!

    Straight VF-25 (BN, this is NGC) Rim damage doesn’t matter unless it’s either really bad or protrudes beyond the rim and into the field. I feel like this coin could go straight.

    Is this a rare Newcomb? I don’t have time to attribute right now, but I don’t find late dates too much of a headache to attribute unlike most people.

    25 here. I was right on the straight grade and the definition of “rim damage” but this is probably a weak strike that I undergraded.

    From my post on the EAC site the "netted" grade range was VG-10 to VF-20...
    No one liked it for the certed straight grade.

    I was thinking VF30-35, but it has issues. Looks the the obverse rim was hit with an eraser at 6:00.
