    That’s not even a 1968 and the photo isn’t good enough to tell much.

    Huh? The poster's real name might not be "jon doe", but that's absolutely a 1968 cent. Or could it be the very rare and very dangerous "inverted date 8961 cent"?

    What do you see ?

    we see a circulated 1968 cent.
    1,707,880,000 were made
    in general condition they are worth 1 cent.
    In MInt State condition they can sell for $10 .. but your is not anywhere near Mint State.

    There are several dings on the date, small amount of machine doubling damage on 9 and 6, maybe a hint of die deterioration , but hard to tell at that magnification. but no true DD
