I know that star notes are worth some money. So what is the average extra amount compared to the denomination amount of that note?

Maybe a nice serial number, but not a replacement note. Too many of the newer notes are made. Something before 1933 might be worth the extra price.

As I stated in your other thread about a $20 star note-condition is everything and they are not worth a lot over face.

To me there is no premium. Especially for modern stars.
It would have to be old, or rare, or crisp, or have a fancy serial number, or all 4. I spend them.

I keep all. Yes, some are now high in #s, but soon they will be gone. I do not buy them, but pull them out of circulation. I have asked many bank tellers to look for them, and go and buy them at face. I sometime buy the tellers lunch. Value is in the eyes of the beholder. Very soon, there will not be any more "Stars" in any series, because of the new detecting systems that are being put in place in the printing process.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for the BEP to stop making errors. They’re human, you realize.

True, but the way they will replace the defective notes, will be to destroy the whole group, and just print more. They will not have a straight run as they did. So, there will be gaps in the print. As, pull out an amount till it's clear, and then print more at the end to make the total amount needed.

There is no reason to believe that their process will change.
