I really like tokens like this, they are a great opportunity to learn some history. I had never heard of any Pre-Civil War prohibition.
That is pretty darn cool... considering it was only a 1-Year Prohibition in New York State! I don't find the Token on tokencatalog.com Usually if it isn't too rare, they are on there. It's not that rare, I have one as well. The first real prohibition movements in this country started in the 1830s.A really good book on the subject is Last call: The rise and fall of Prohibition by Daniel Okrent. Fascinating subject. Used copies are available for around $7.
I don't know where my pieces at the moment, can the two of you get weights for your medals? That might tell us if the second one is silver or just silvered copper.
