To be fair, and if we wished to be technical about it, it could reasonably be argued that most every coin is "unique" simply because if we tried hard enough, certain differences can be found on each. Unfortunately, in this hobby folks seem to interpret "unique" as being valuable and is why (as an example) I've often used a rock from my driveway as an analogy. I could go outside, randomly pick one, and call it unique simply because one could spend their entire lives searching without finding another just like it, but does this mean it's valuable and/or that there's a market for it? I've yet to find a single person willing to cough up for my driveway stones, and short those buying what they do not understand, the same can be said for damaged coins no matter how "unique" they may be.
glue eyeballs on the rocks, put them in a box with breathing holes, and provide a card with the rocks' name. You'll make a mint if history is of any measurement.
But that was the 70's. The whole country was nuts then. ... HEY! WAIT A MINUTE! You just might be ONTO something here!!!
I'm not new to business, my friend.... sometimes it pays to play stupid. If someone wanted one of my super special unique stones with COA and in a nice cardboard jewelry box for $20, I'd be happy to oblige. However, if one wanted an entire truckload at $0.20 per, even better.... but only after receiving a non-refundable cash deposit, of course.
