One was my xmas present to myself. I am surprised I could not find any other copper that I wanted. I was just trolling when the 1922 seemed to jump out at me. Another fun day.

Okay - which die pair made the 1922 plain above? It seems the more I read about it the more confused I get - time for a break.

Very nice coins! :thumb: The 22 looks like a Die Pair #2, but I could be wrong. Congrats on two very awesome additions to your collections. :thumb:

That is one of the resources that is confusing me. If I tilt the coin a little away from me "in god we trust" looks the same, even under a glass "in god we trust" seem to match. The whole rim seems to more worn and with a weak strike. I could not determine if it was a well worn #2 or #3 and I missed the piece on the rotation - I was concentrating so much on the obverse. My coin is also worn more than the die three reverse example pictured on that site and the wavy feature is really hard to see - but I did finally catch it. Thank you both for your input!

Thanks. I was actually down there to look for a couple of large cent dates, but they did not have anything I wanted. I always scroll through all the coppers and saw the 1922 plain. I will readily admit it was the first of these I have seen in hand - just had to have it. The 1818 was they only CBH they had that I liked - needless to say I blew my goal of getting a date set under a $100. It was a fun day on Saturday.

The fact that you got something that made you happy is all that matters now. You didn't find what you were originally looking for but you got a lot more than you expected. What more can you ask? GREAT coins. Great experience.
