Thanks @berto, @Arby and @TexAg. Now I'm hoping for a better one! I've been setting aside every 74d I come across while roll searching and have looked at 100's of that date. So it'll probably be another 8 or 10 boxes before the next one!

If you persist, you will find more. I probably have around 30-40 of the 1974-D DDO.

"The second strike is up and to the right of the initial strike."

Note: These are NOT separate strikes, the doubling was done to the die, they are one strike form a doubled die

And to newbies: it is die, NOT dye.

You are of course correct. I understand the mechanics. Just didn't translate it well when I wrote the post. :) Should have worded it as "first impression" instead of "first strike".

I box of cents today produced 7 wheats...earliest 1944. One box of dimes today produced 7 silvers...new record for silvers in one box.

I just finished up my last four boxes for this week, 2 skunks, I pulled 2-67 and a 68. I also pulled a 74DDO, its a bit beat up but I will take it. While I was dumping a woman was cashing in a bunch of coins, She cashed in $25 in halves, $10 in SB Dollars, $15 in Ike dollars, Which I pulled 2-76 Type 1 and Type 2. So of course I purchased them, I pulled 2-Bennies, 1-54D and 1-63D, also 1-69. Wishing you all the best of luck, with many blessings. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and look forward to all your posts.

Searched $20 in CWR and $100 in MWR halves tonight:

    1, 74D DDO

This was only my 3rd after searching about 160,000 halves.

I think this week should be dubbed 74D DDO week henceforth!

Starting to pay more attention to cents lately. Believe this is a 1953-D “BiE” die chip. Supposedly, BiEs were common in the 1950’s, but this is my first so it’s going into a 2x2!

$45 CWR Cents: 21 Wheats with nothing older than 1941, 954 copper cents

$150 CWR Nickels: 13 dated between 1940-1959. No war nicks.

    $450 CWR Dimes: Skunk

    $460 CWR Halves: Skunk

That's a hard week hunting, but I'll make the rounds at the pick up banks tomorrow because I'm a hopeless addict. ;-)

There were 9 solid red rolls in the box I have now. In all of those there was nothing newer than 1992. A fair amount of copper but the vast majority of the copper was only fit to go back into the wild. There were 4 or 5 striped rolls and they gave up some nice copper. I think there is one more of those rolls and all the rest are countainer rolls. I'll do 10 tomorrow, 10 Sunday and the other 5 Monday. I'm going back through my copper starting at 5.1. 1 through 6 had copper I wouldn't normally keep. I'm going to go up to 20 for sure.

634470E9-E291-46BB-81F3-D05728DB2516.jpeg Today I found a few wheat pennies 1937, 41, 45, 52, 56 and 58 and a panama cent and Canadian cent in the rolls I usually find lots of Canadian cents but the Panama one is a first. I found a SBA 1980 wide rim and president Monroe, was looking for him for a while lol and a few 1982 d of which one I believe looks like the 2 in a small date I could be wrong

Congrats on the finds @Wheels, gotta love those wheat cents! Unlike the 1979-P SBA, which had a Wide Rim (Near Date) and a Narrow Rim (Far Date) variety), I believe the 1980 SBAs only had one rim variety. And yes, the date is near the rim.

Last Loomis box of halves was a skunk. :banghead::banghead: I did find 4 NIFCs and a 1974-D Doubled Die Obverse which took some of the sting out. :meh::meh:

Happy 1974D DDO Week! Congrats. If this keeps up, we may have to put out vibes for other weeks. Silver 64 Week anyone?
