    In that case, because thousands of coins are struck by one set of dies, I'd expect there'd be many, many, many more just like yours.

    PS. Would you name your 'expert'?

    Planchet was what he probably said instead of die.

    The pressure of the dies would have made the entire planchet strike up properly.
    Believe what you will, but you are never going to convince real experts.

    What makes you an expert? The coin dealer I saw has been in business since the 1980's.

    Perhaps they stopped using the die after it happened?
