How much do these YouTubers make?? lol At first I thought it was from a sponsor, but it says that it wasn't sponsored at all. About 1 month after this giveaway, this guy added another 1 million subscribers to his channel. But that's not the craziest part... he gives away tens of thousands of dollars on a regular basis (most of these I believe are actually sponsored though). Anyway, the coins are probably mostly from 1982-present, but given the sheer number, I bet there are some rare coins in that batch.
Reminds me of the guy who won over a million dollars in Las Vegas on a nickel slot machine a good number of years ago. He insisted on being pay in cash. So the casino loaded up over 30 dump trucks and dumped all of them in his front yard. He couldn't stop people from stealing them and he received several citations from the government.
I'd still take it though lol. I think there was one dude who made a copper vs zinc cent sorting machine, and that'll come in handy here. Not sure how accurate it is though, and it'd still take a really long time to go through.
Not sure border patrol would be fond of seeing a huge truckload of copper/zinc cents crossing the border. lol Maybe he'd fly to Canada, go to the bank, realize that cents are no long in circulation, and send the subscriber a bunch of another denomination. He'd probably do the same thing for someone from another country, or maybe he'd fudge it and go with someone in the continental USA.
I could be wrong, as I am going from memory, but I think the U.S. government had imposed an 8 lb limit on cents being shipped /taken out of the country. A guy near me advertises on Craigslist that he will sell the all copper cents for 20% over face, and that he currently has over 22,000 lbs. (yes, lbs.) of them. He said he looks thru about 50,000 cents every week.
It's amazing what some YouTubers make, there is a woman on YouTube called the stoner mom and she makes like 40 Grand a month smoking medical marijuana and showing all those types of products.
Me too. I dislike how they mostly waste so many resources. At least do something productive with their big "experiments".
No offense intended, but I'd like to see the news report of this incident. Having visited Las Vegas for many, many years, I know that the casinos love the (positive) publicity associated with large pay-outs because it attracts more customers. I find it slightly incredible that a casino would pull a stunt like that. Chris
This guy has videos where he buys stuff in bulk just for the sheer numbers, records a 10 minute video, and then throws it all away... Smh so wasteful
Pretty brilliant thing this guy did he is already over 4 million subscribers because of how viral this video went. Those 3 million pennies paid for themselves ten fold already. And yes youtubers with that many subscribers make unreal amounts of money. Not even directly from youtube or their ad partners either, that's a tiny slice of the pie. They all have other brands/companies that they're able to have an enormous audience for and other companies beg them daily to sponsor their product and will throw silly amounts of money at them to do so.
I wonder how he got them... I don't think my local bank would order that many for me... maybe I'll ask next time I'm in
