Went to the coinshop today and picked up: 1848 Large Cent (probably in F-VF) 1935C 1$ Silver Cert 1953A Red Seal 2$ (which Im giving to a friend as a gift) 1963 Red Seal 5$ Star 1934D 5$ Silver Cet 10 Small Note Holders All for 41$ I'll get some pics up soon.
Nice pickup on the '48 large cent! That same coin in the same grade (mine's more of a solid Fine) is part of my 19th cent. type set. Good low mintage number for that coin, too. Think I paid around $40 for her.
Hmm, I might put that cent more in the VG-F range rather than the F-VF range, but then again, I'm not very familiar with the grading standards for large cents. $40 for the entire set still ain't bad at all!
