My uncle found this on the ground today and brought it to me I can't find a date or anything not even a hint of year or mint letter. Again need help anyone. But here's my nickel
Cool! thank you paddy54 I'm a beginner in this world of coins and the history of them. Now I can't help but inspect all and any coins that go through my hands when before I never gave coins a second glance and spend them.
I guess so...yet a ‘42 walker toner in the same submission graded out just fine. Both were put in the 7070 around the same time.
You image of the 43 has a questionable look as far as how most nickels tone. I am sure it is as you say album toning. However these days it is like open season on toned coins....And TPG are buckling down on them
Here is my nickels. The first 1941 I got from my change where I got the coin book. The 59 is from the coin book it's just really nice.
And this is precisely why I stay away from toned coins when possible. Just on the chance, that a grader thinks it has been artificially toned when in fact it hasn't. There is nothing wrong with your coin that's just my opinion.
