However I agree the 66 grade looks a bit on the high side, it's the color that will carry this one IMO.
"QUESTION" How come I never see PEACE dollars /W toning? is there a special alloy or something added or are all the ones I see been cleaned(dipped)?
They exist but they’re super rare and getting one in a holder too. I think a combination of storage and alloy though actually
@jtlee321 was closest to the $1,147.50 final price....with some recent results, I'm being priced out of the toner market Points Table Beefer518 - 25.01 Points baseball21 - 23.61 Points ddddd - 20.01 Points jwitten - 16.51 Points ddoomm1 - 15.01 Points Lehigh96 - 11.51 Points heavycam.monstervam - 11.51 Points jtlee321 - 10.02 Points ron_c - 10.01 Points IBetASilverDollar - 9.01 Points Mainebill - 9.01 Points brg5658 - 7.01 Points Johndoe2000$ - 6.51 Points Santinidollar - 6.51 Points KSorbo - 5.51 Points Bman33 - 4.51 Points Duke Kavanaugh - 4.51 Points C-B-D - 4.01 Points Pickin and Grinin - 4.01 Points bsowa1029 - 3.51 Points Night*Hawk - 3.01 Points kSigSteve - 2.01 Points Volante - 1.01 Points moneycostingmemoney - 1.01 Points Cascade - 1.01 Points Physics-fan3.14 - 1.01 Points jpcienkus - 1.01 Points Jebocement - 1.01 Points LuxUnit - 0.01 Points
Yay!!!! If you can give me until tomorrow to post an image, I'm in the middle of shooting some AMAZING coins for a client. If I can get his permission, I'll post one of his. They will blow you away.....
Ok, my client said he didn't mind if I posted this coin. He couldn't remember the exact figure he paid, but did give me a very close ballpark to use. So with that said, here is a stunning 1940 Walking Liberty Half Dollar graded by NGC in MS-67. These book at $575 on PCGS Guide and $765 on NGC Guide.
$1,775 ....I could see it going for way more if at auction ($3,000+) ...but I will also add to the concern that the coin looks a bit suspect (let's say that the right person must have submitted that one)
It is absolutely stunning in hand!! It's also in a newer NGC holder, so not sure who submitted it. But the images you see above give a very close representation of the in hand look. The only thing slightly lacking is the luster. Turning the coin in hand the luster is just dripping. The top of the obverse is a bit dark as you see in the image. I was blown away when I saw this coin.. I sure would like to know the story on it.
