Sweet!! I'm an ANA member and I guess I just never go to the website. I'll have to go do that. Thanks for the tip.
Dude, You are straight up cornering the market, along with @Paddy54 and @Pickin and Grinin . A few more pieces and you guys will have a monopoly. Seriously though, i believe you guys are NOT ONLY securing some really nice coin/holder combinations. You are also helping to promote this coin- date/mm to other collectors. As paddy mentioned in his IHC thread. Sidenote- after 3 overpour shots of Jose and 3 Coronas can you feel the love im spreading? Does it you ALL warm and fuzzy inside?? WELL I SURE IS !!!!!!
I'm wanting to get as many different PCGS/NGC/ANACS holders as I can with a '38-D Buffalo. The key being they have to be eye appealing, I've passed on a lot that just don't make the cut. I'm also having a hard time pulling the trigger on the more recent holders. Not sure why, I just don't like the looks of them. LOL
Oh no....Paddy54 can't even find a 38 D any more! The buffalo hunters have rounded them all up Hey guys the next hot coin to hoard the 1964 nickel sell all your buffalos and buy rolls of 64 Jeff's.... oh look for no steps nickels...
This has been confirmed to be a Strike-Through Mint Error after I posted a close-up of the void on the "Attribute This" thread.
@Paddy54 were on the other side of the country. Why You Pickin? Thanks for the heads up! it's a fun Variety.
Looks as if the label on the old holder, helped this buff tone a bit more. I like the look & think its closer to 66 imo
+$5.00 I had seen this in a binder for about a year and always liked the honest wear, epic journey thing it's got going on... thought I'd pick it up as a pocket piece. Stopped somewhere I never usually go to grab cash and got a completely random $15 gas credit, which I needed to get anyway. The dealer took a ten dollar bill for the coin; scored $5 profit merely in the process of buying it. Now that's a lucky coin!
$19.95. I keep hoping when I buy these off E-Bay that the coin will match the grade. Swung and missed again. I probably would have passed if the pics would have been better from the seller.
At 49.99, this barely makes it onto this thread. I don't see any significant flaws with this one, and I really like the purple elevation toning on the feathers and lettering.
Just received today. This is an Anacs MS63FB, but I have to think it's under graded by a couple of points. Not bad for $47
Here's my latest from my favorite local shop. It's a 1900-O Morgan Dollar VAM-19. It's a raw purchase, but a no question PL. It came in at the ceiling for this thread at $50.00. It has a lot going on that I just loved... First the stunning PL fields coupled with really cool die polish lines. I'm wondering if the dealer I bought it from possibly thought it was cleaned. But if you look at the lines you see they go right under the devices and come out the other side. It's just stunning. Here's the FULL RESOLUTION if you want to check out the die polishing.
I am not a Morgan guy, but that is a beautiful example, jtlee321! Can I ask what camera are you using?
