Got a rather eclectic mix at the second bank in town.
10 Loomis MWR penny rolls. 15 double folded CWR rolls.
25 folded one end CWR rolls a few of which have more than 50 pennies inside. Should be a real hoot to go through.

Pulled this 1972-D DDO #002 from a box of cents. According to my records, this is the first doubled die I've found since December 2017 when I found a 72D DDO #001. Don't find too many Denver doubled dies here in MD. I'll take it :)

I'm back to being lead pipe serious with my copper keeps.
Was looking at the ones from the last box.
Kept a little under half of nearly 50.
Also looking at rolls I marked 6 under .50.
They are low 5 at BEST.
Gonna watch Hill Street Blues on YouTube and think about it.

Lincoln Cent box #10 turned out to be low on quantity but a bit better on quality. A pair of Canadian's and five wheaties from the 50's. Nothing to write home about. But the highlight was the acquisition of both a 98 Wide AM and a 00 Wide AM -- both in nice AU condition. This is my second 98 and my first 00 so I now have found 2 of the 5. Of course those are the two "common" ones. The other three should prove to be much more difficult!

This is so weird...I've been nickel roll hunting for a few weeks now and look at what my good buddy Loomis provided me with tonight.... IMG_7981.JPG IMG_7982.JPG sorry for the poor quality. My kitchen lighting sucks...but it is indeed a 76-S proof pulled from a roll!

Returned a metal cent tray to the teller that sold me 22 CWRs a few weeks ago that held 721 wheaties. She thanked me and said the same widow came in with another $5.50 loose in a zip lock. She said they owned a bar here in town many years ago and these were probably keepers from the till or tips. I guess a cent went alot further back then, lol. Of course I looked at them and saw there were lots of wheaties in this batch as well. I estimate about 50-50 wheats vs. memorials. Spot checked the shiniest ones and nothing newer than 1964. The 22 rolls were mostly 40's and 50's, hoping these have some teens, 20's, and 30's!! Will post results soon.....

Results and pics of the $5.50 loose cents I got from my "no account" bank teller yesterday containing a lot of wheaties:
    (1) 1920
    (1) 1920-S (looks like a detector found coin, very crusty :yack:)
    (1) 1934
    (1) 1939
    (88) 1940's decade
    (129) 1950's decade (no "BIE" die chips, :depressed:)
Total wheats = 221. The 1920-S is a hole filler in my backup album until I find a better one, lol. Also found a 1960-D Small Date which is also a hole filler for the backup album.:cigar: Happy Hunting!

    Two FIRSTS!

Just wrapped up half-dollar box #7 a few minutes ago. It only yielded 5 keepers but oh, what keepers. First, there were three NIFC's: 03P, 11P, and 15D. I already had other examples of those so no biggie there.

Then I pulled my first Walker (found in the wild)!!! A 1945d. It probably grades Fine -- maybe VF. I knew something was up when I opened the roll and noticed the black rim among all the other copper edges. Yeah, my first one!

Then, in the very last roll of the box, I am 75% sure that I found a 74d Doubled Die. The "RUST" in "TRUST" shows the same doubling as the pic in the Redbook. I'm going to hold off declaring victory until I get some better pics and let you folks take a look and verify but I'm hopeful this is a match.

There was one more I almost missed. A 70S with decent Steps to it! 88F4E42C-38E3-4C24-9FE4-53DECA662777.jpeg A1348C04-F621-4835-A113-B037E3D1AB1C.jpeg

Here are the pics I promised. I took them from slightly different angles. The second strike is up and to the right of the initial strike. It is most pronounced on the RUST, and the serif of the 4. Is this the DD listed and shown in the Redbook or is this simply minor mechanical doubling? Sadly, the camera simply won't pick up the doubling as well as my eye can. Since the coin itself only grades EF, its not worth much over face but if it is the big one, at least I can check it off my list. :)

midtn, your DDO looks legit to me.

    Last night I searched:
$50 in CWR dimes, $50 in MWR dimes=
    1, 64-D

$10 in CWR cents, $10 in MWR cents=
4 common wheats and a couple canadian cents

$20 in CWR nickels, $20 in MWR nickels=
    1955

Not great finds, but better than nothing!

The 10 Loomis penny rolls didn't give up much copper.
Like only about 12 or so. But only two are going back out into the wild. 5 or 6 are going to a possible 6 roll and 2 to a 5 roll.

Also had I thought about it before the last roll...
I could have made a splendid roll of 2018D.
