Not the sharpest tool in the shed, I see...

No one, and I mean NO ONE is "jealous" of you or your little coins, sir, and this includes the membership as well as Mr. Wexler. Who do you think you are to make such a ridiculous accusation simply because someone doesn't agree with your obviously inexperienced self? Does it really make sense and/or sound like a good idea to attack the very folks who, believe it or not, are trying to help those like you learn?

Reality is constructive and I would think someone of your claimed age would be well aware of this fact. You ask for and claim "honest input would be welcomed" yet throw a childish tantrum over the fact you were given honest input? You, sir, are a perfect example of someone who desperately needs to read more and post less. Doing so would not only benefit yourself, but would be the gift that keeps on giving to the rest of the forum. Just consider it food for thought.

The rest aside, I would like you to clarify the part of the post
The mint mark was hand stamped into the DIE, and mechanical doubling would cause MD to both the date and the mintmark, but I think most in this thread could detect that, so I am not sure what suspected DD he said the mm was machined.

And perhaps it is my seeing, but it is almost impossible to tell it is a raised line by the photo. Also since the deepest part of the coin represents the surface of the die. I would expect the size of the line would be greater near it, as cracks tend to be larger on the surface than deeper into the die. Here the line appears wider on the nose area ( a deep part of the die) rather than near the edge ( surface part of the die). That is why I said PMD. Jim

I'm not going to get into taking one side or the other because I can't figure out what caused the raised line. If PMD, what would cause this?

Not that it means much, but it indeed looks raised to my eye. However, and aside from the possibility of a natural plating issue, if you look closely it almost looks as if there's another line down the center of the anomaly, and is particularly visible in front of the neck area. Considering the type, could it be that what started as a deep scratch/cut has impacted the surrounding copper plating?

There's definitely strong machine doubling on the date. Could the line be a plating issue?

Charles, Charles, Charles......I believe what BB4C was referring to was your direct quote above, & he is right, no need for you to go off on a tirade! You've been a member since 9/2017 so you should have an idea about how this works.

Now, perhaps you meant to phrase it differently, but the way you wrote it sounded like you found the next best thing to sliced bread & wanted everyone's approval.

It's a nice thread, just run amok! :)

That was it, and it certainly wasn't my intent to set off such nonsense. Thanks for seeing this, Steve. :)

First Ibwas graduated in the top 2 percent of my class went on to get a two degrees simultaneously business mgmt and accounting, plus I have been a Mensa member.
I don't know where you get your tools from.
And as the saying goes, if the shoe fits
    wear it.
But heres the point, the raised cooper line dissecting Lincoln is called a die gouge.
A previous posting in which a speared bufallo nickel was attributed by PCGS is in this very forum somewhere. There is also a picture of the wounded Sacajawea Eagle.
Both spears are identical to the raised cooper one on my 1985 cent.
No one asked anyone to approve or applaud my finding but noboduy deserves that evil nasty intended comment connotating it is worthless when YOU KNOW THAT IS A BALD FACED ...
The sacajawea wounded eagle where I think 15 have been found is a small cpin worth 250-500.
I am not sure of the speared bison pops but I do know its another small coin worth some nice change.
As far as mine goes, there is only one I know of.
I will thank you and any other haters to trash any you might find so that mine remains the only one!
But get used to it I also have
    Several mint state 66-67 : 1961,1961-d,1963,1962-d,1963-d and1964 lincolns I will post soon

And it sure shows, doesn't it?

Oh, and you're welcome for the edit, Mr. Mensa. Enjoy your millions.
